Bachelor Degrees
Admission Requirements
The general admission requirements for entry to Unicaf University Zambia Bachelor degree programmes are as outlined below. Students are advised to contact the Office of Admissions to find out more about the range of equivalent international academic qualifications accepted.
- Regular admission to a Bachelor degree programme requires a full Grade 12 Certificate with O-levels at credit or higher in a number of subjects depending on the course of study or international equivalent qualification
- Applicants with a Diploma or Advanced Diploma may be considered for entry.
- Applicants with a Diploma or Advanced Diploma in a relevant area may be considered for credit transfer.
- English proficiency & Grade 6 (Credit) or better on the General Certificate of Education or equivalent
- Copy of valid passport or national ID
In addition to a strong academic record, extra-curricular activities, leadership skills and other relevant background information may be taken into account.
Master Degrees
Admission Requirements
The general admission requirements for entry to Unicaf University in Zambia Master degree programmes are as outlined below. Students are advised to contact the Office of Admissions to find out more about the range of equivalent international academic qualifications accepted.
- Admission to a Master’s degree programme requires an accredited Bachelor degree or international equivalent. Related professional qualifications at the appropriate level will also be considered for entry.
- Students with an accredited Master’s degree will also be considered for entry.
- Recognized proof of English proficiency if the Bachelor degree was not taught in the English language
- Copy of valid passport or national ID
- In addition to a strong academic record, extra-curricular activities, leadership skills and other relevant background information are taken into account.
Doctoral Admission
The entry requirements for admission to the programme are:
- An accredited Master’s degree in a relevant subject area. Students may be considered for doctoral study if their degree is in an unrelated field provided, they have relevant professional experience and can prove their ability to work at doctoral level. A wide range of international qualifications may also be considered. Students are advised to contact the Office of Admissions to find out more about the range of international academic qualifications accepted.
- Official Master’s degree transcripts
- Recognized proof of English proficiency if previous studies were not taught in the English language. Otherwise, an IELTS score 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.5 in the writing component and no individual component lower than 6.0) is required; or an English Placement Test result with a 6.5 equivalence (provided no score in each individual component is less than 6.0).
- Up to date CV
- Two official letters of recommendation (one of which must be academic)
- Research proposal
- Evidence of ability to undertake independent research
All applicants who satisfy the above listed requirements are invited to an interview where a final admission decision will be made.
