Unicaf University Exhibits at 94th Agriculture & Commercial Show in Lusaka

Due to pandemic restrictions caused by the Coronavirus, the Agriculture and Commercial Show was canceled back in 2020 and again in 2021. With the easing of global restrictions, however, the show returned in 2022 with the theme of  “Innovation through Technology – Technology Transforms Businesses”.

Over 6 days and with 180 international exhibitors, the event attracted investors and attendees from as near and as far as Burundi, Botswana, Cameroon, China, Egypt, DRC, Ethiopia, Germany, Ghana, India, Italy, Iran, Japan, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe.

The Agriculture and Commercial Show provides an essential and unique trading marketplace that attracts various economic players. It provides a platform for business-to-business and agri-business trade information. Additionally, it creates opportunities to showcase emerging farming technologies.

The opening ceremony was inaugurated by none other than the President of the Republic of Zambia, President Hakainde Hichilema. President Hichilema pointed out in his opening speech that the show’s theme was timely as the country was open for business and ready to attract investments in sectors such as agriculture.

Unicaf University, on-hand promoting its degree programmes with a generous scholarship, attracted a multitude of the event’s attendees and exhibiting companies. Much interest was generated in the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees as well as the Professional Development Courses on offer.
