Unicaf University Gives Back to the Community

Unicaf University recently visited Nsansa Village as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) objective. Nsansa Village, which means “happiness” in the local language, is home to 36 boys who were previously homeless and living rough on the streets of Lusaka. The visit was aimed at giving back to the community and making a positive impact in the lives of these children.

The vision of Nsansa Village is to create an environment whereby a child will grow up in a family setting and be supported with love, security, respect and dignity. They are aiming for a society where young people are empowered with dignity and who will contribute to national development.

The Unicaf University team was warmly welcomed by the children and Mr Joseph Phiri, a teacher at Nsansa Village. During the visit, Unicaf University Registrar, Ms Nyamutuma Mwandila, delivered a powerful speech on the importance of education. The team also had the opportunity to hand over donated items to the Nsansa team.

The event ended with a vote of thanks from a representative of the school, and a tour of the orphanage. The Unicaf University team was delighted to have the chance to contribute to the well-being of the children at Nsansa Village, and looks forward to continuing to give back to the community through its CSR activities.
