Unicaf University hosts successful Open Lecture on Sustainable Funding for Youth Empowerment

Unicaf University hosted a successful Open Lecture Series titled Sustainable Funding for Youth Empowerment on May 5th, 2023. The lecture was conducted by Mr. Milimo Ngululu, Director of Finance at Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC), and moderated by Chipo Mabuti, Marketing Officer at Unicaf University.

The lecture was attended by over 50 people  from diverse backgrounds, including students, entrepreneurs, and professionals who showed a keen interest in the topic of youth empowerment. Mr Chipo Mabuti introduced the speaker to the audience and provided a brief overview of Unicaf University’s offerings and the institution’s mode of studies.

Mr Ngululu’s lecture focused on CEEC’s current model of funding youth empowerment programmes in Zambia, the challenges faced by CEEC in youth funding, and the mitigation measures in place to reduce risk and make funding sustainable. He also highlighted the processes involved in accessing CEEC funding.

The Q&A session that followed the lecture provided an opportunity for the audience to engage with Mr Ngululu and ask questions based on the lecture and their experiences. The session was highly interactive, with the audience actively participating and providing valuable insights.
