Unicaf University Presents Successful Virtual Open Day

Unicaf University recently held a Virtual Open Day. The event was inaugurated by Unicaf University Marketing Officer, Mr Chipo Maputi who officially welcomed the online attendees. The event’s opening remarks were followed by two presentations from Deputy Vice Chancellor, Dr Lameck Mwewa.

The first presentation focused on the essence of Unicaf University in terms of who we are and what degree programmes are on offer. This included programmes from our partner universities. This was then followed by a fascinating second presentation on the state-of-the-art Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).

The VLE is a digital learning platform integrating a working space for educational and business processes allowing students and teachers to work together while ensuring user security and privacy. It enables module designers to create and deliver engaging academic content and lessons. Online delivery of the programmes is continuously updated to meet new methodologies.

A video tour of the current Unicaf University campus was also shown to those assembled. As an added bonus, plans of the upcoming 21st century carbon neutral campus were revealed. The new campus has a tentative completion date of October 2023 and is being built on 2.5 acres of land with a gross floor area of 3,500 sqm.

The Open Day ended with interaction from the attendees and a lively Q & A session on all aspects of Unicaf University.
