Unicaf University takes part in Labour Day Commemoration

Unicaf University participated in the commemoration of the 2023 International Labour Day celebrations held on May 1st, under the theme “Accelerating Job Creation For Economic Growth.” 

The event started with a march past the Lusaka Municipal Council offices (Civic Centre) to the Freedom Statue, where His Excellency, Mr Hakainde Hichilema, the Head of State, was among the dignitaries in attendance. 

The team marched proudly, showcasing the university’s banner to the President and media.  This was followed by an exhibition of the university’s services by its staff. The Labour Day celebrations presented a good opportunity for Unicaf University to interact with other companies and promote the Unicaf University brand.

During the event, and in keeping with the day’s theme, Unicaf University awarded two staff members for their dedication and hard work. Esther Mulenga, Maintenance Personnel was recognised as the Longest Serving Employee and Memory Moonga, a Student Advisor, was recognised as the Most Resilient Employee.

The management of Unicaf University is proud to have participated in the 2023 Labour Day celebrations and commends the Government of the Republic of Zambia for its continued support towards job creation and economic growth. The university also remains committed to providing quality education and training to its students, contributing to the growth and development of Zambia.
