Unicaf University signs MoU with Institute of Customer Management

Unicaf University and the Chartered Institute of Customer Service Management (CICM) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

This agreement ensures that members and staff of CICM will be guaranteed a generous scholarship through Unicaf’s Corporate Scholarship Scheme to study for Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degrees from Unicaf University. In addition, the MoU facilitates the promotion of joint research and capacity building between the two organisations. 

CICM Board Vice Chairperson, Mr Brian Silungwe met with Unicaf University Vice-Chancellor, Dr Christine Phiri Mushibwe for the official signing at the university campus boardroom in front of delegates and representatives from both institutions. The Executive Director of CICM, Mr Dominic Manhundu described the MoU as a demonstration of his institutes’ willingness to seek out affiliate relationships that provide the institution with the tools to identify challenges and opportunities in the customer service sector.

Unicaf University’s Vice Chancellor, Dr Christine Phiri Mushibwe added that the MoU could also lead to research collaborations and joint seminars and conferences as well as ‘research funding applications on areas of mutual interest.’ Whilst Unicaf University Zambia Business Manager, Mr Anthony Chanda had this to say, “The opportunity for the development of a customer service diploma and degree programme is also a possibility.”
