Unicaf University Hosts Inaugural Youth Summit

Unicaf University proudly hosted its first-ever Youth Summit on March 29th, 2024, themed “Igniting Innovation.” The summit, aimed at empowering Zambian youth to take charge of their financial futures and embrace entrepreneurial diversity, proved to be a resounding success.

Gathering more than 100 enthusiastic attendees, the Youth Summit provided a platform for young minds to engage with industry experts, fostering an environment of knowledge exchange and inspiration. Distinguished speakers including licensed investment and financial advisor, Mrs Lyapa Mbewe, artist and entrepreneur, POMPI, entrepreneur and influencer, Ms Elizabeth Sianga, and author and entrepreneur, Mrs Kripa Aiyar, volunteered their expertise to enrich the discussions.

The summit commenced with welcoming remarks from Unicaf University’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Research and Innovation, Dr Marirajan Thiruppathi, setting the stage for insightful discussions. Attendees were treated to engaging presentations covering a range of topics pertinent to financial literacy and entrepreneurship. A lively interactive session followed, allowing participants to pose questions directly to the speakers and gain valuable insights.

Adding a touch of entertainment to the proceedings, popular musician Deborah Mambo graciously performed for the audience, enhancing the overall experience.

In addition to the enriching sessions, attendees had the opportunity to network with peers and speakers, capturing memorable moments through photos and sharing testimonials of their experience.

Reflecting on the summit, participants expressed their admiration for the caliber of speakers and the valuable knowledge gained. Many commended Unicaf University for its initiative in organising such an impactful event and eagerly anticipated future editions.
